Rated for AC-2 duty at 3 kW on a 400 V, 50 Hz supply, this contactor handles slip-ring motor starting and reversing loads where the switching frequency stays moderate. The screw-type main terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) up to max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²), with AWG equivalents of 2x (20 to 16) and 2x (18 to 14). Front and terminal protection is IP20, so the contactor is finger-safe once installed but expects enclosure protection against water ingress.
Switching capacity across voltages
The 3RT1015-1AV02-1AA0 carries a 10 A rated operational current at AC-12 (resistive loads) at 24 V. For DC switching, it handles 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V — useful for pilot-duty control circuits or small DC motor brakes.
