Size S00 power contactor, 24 V DC coil
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1015-1BB41-ZX95 is a Size S00 power contactor with a 24 V DC magnet coil, rated for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022. The S00 frame keeps the width to 45 mm, so it fits tightly in a crowded panel — three of these side-by-side occupy 135 mm of rail space. Coil pick-up is guaranteed at 85 % of rated voltage (20.4 V DC) and drop-out at 110 % (26.4 V DC); holding power is a steady 3.3 W DC. The coil suppression is built in — no external diode needed for standard DC switching.
Switching ratings across voltage classes
The main contacts are rated for AC-1 resistive loads up to 10 A at 230 V and 6 A at 400 V. For motor duty, the AC-2 rating at 400 V is 3 kW, and AC-4 at 400 V is 6.5 A — this is the rating that governs repetitive inrush and plugging applications. At 690 V the contactor handles 4 kW, so it can switch a 4-pole motor on a 690 V line. DC switching capability is specified per voltage step: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V. These are resistive-load figures; inductive DC loads will need derating or arc suppression.
Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²) — solid or stranded. AWG equivalents are 2x (20-16), 2x (18-14), and 1x 12. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with no derating, provided the ambient stays within -25 to +60 °C.
