SIRIUS S00 power contactor — 24 V DC coil, 10 A rated
The Siemens 3RT1015-1EF02 is a SIRIUS-branded power contactor in the compact S00 frame size, designed for switching motor loads and resistive circuits in control panels. Its 24 V DC coil draws the contactor in, and the built-in RC surge suppressor handles the inductive kickback — one less component to panel-build around. Rated at 10 A for DC-12 / AC-12 duty at 24 V, it also carries a 3 kW motor load in AC-2 category at 400 V and 6.5 A in AC-4 reversing duty at 400 V. That AC-4 figure is the one to watch for frequent jogging or plugging applications — the contactor is sized for the mechanical and electrical stress of reversing starts. Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, with a 45 mm width that leaves room for adjacent devices in a crowded enclosure. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, and the IP20 finger-safe front terminals accept screw-type wiring up to 2x 4 mm² stranded.
Coordination and environment
Type 2 coordination with a gL/gG fuse rated 20 A is specified — that fuse clears a fault before the contactor welds, so the starter stays reusable after a short circuit. Operating temperature spans -25 to +60 °C, and pollution degree 3 means it tolerates conductive dust and humidity typical of industrial enclosures without conformal coating. The 72 mm depth fits standard 200 mm deep enclosures with room for wiring ducts. At 57.5 mm tall, it clears most 100 mm tall DIN-rail backplates. Terminal capacity covers 0.5 to 4 mm² stranded — common for motor circuits up to 4 kW.
