SIRIUS S00 power contactor, 3RT1015-2AG61
The Siemens 3RT1015-2AG61 is a SIRIUS power contactor in frame size S00, rated 3 kW at AC-2 duty on 400 V, with 6.5 A at AC-4 for reversing or plugging service. Spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (24 to 14 AWG) — strip and push, no screw torque to verify. Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, 45 mm wide, 60 mm tall, 73 mm deep — fits a standard 45 mm slot in a motor control centre.
Ratings and coordination
AC-2 at 400 V delivers 3 kW for slip-ring motor starting; Type 2 coordination requires a gL/gG 20 A fuse upstream; Type 1 coordination allows a 35 A fuse — the smaller fuse limits let-through energy to protect the contactor in a fault.
Integration notes
Side-by-side mounting is permitted with zero spacing — the 6 mm air gap to adjacent devices is built into the housing, so you can pack contactors tight on the DIN rail. Coil draws 10 A at 24 V rated value (inrush), 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V — size your control transformer and fuse accordingly. One instantaneous auxiliary contact is built in (31-32); if you need more, add a side-mounted auxiliary block — the S00 platform shares a common add-on family.
