The 3RT1015-2AN61 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the S00 frame size, designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto a 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 50022. Its 45 mm width and 73 mm depth fit standard DIN-rail enclosures; side-by-side mounting is permitted, with a required 6 mm clearance at the side for heat dissipation. Main circuit connections use spring-loaded terminals accepting 2x (0.25... 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded conductors, or 2x (24... 14) AWG. The IP20 finger-safe protection on the front and terminals means it can be installed in a standard IP54 enclosure without additional shrouding for the operator side.
Rated Performance and Duty Cycles
Rated for AC-2 duty at 400 V, this contactor switches 3 kW motor loads — typical for slip-ring motors or moderate starting duty. For AC-4 duty (plugging, inching) at 400 V, the rated operating current is 6.5 A, which is the figure to use for frequent reversing or jogging applications. The coil operates at 24 VDC with a rated operating range of 0.85 to 1.1 times the rated voltage at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz. Mechanical endurance is rated at 30,000,000 operating cycles typical, which aligns with the S00 frame's intended use in high-cycle applications like conveyor systems or packaging lines. For short-circuit protection, Type 1 coordination requires a gL/gG fuse rated at 35 A; Type 2 coordination (no damage to the contactor) requires a 20 A gL/gG fuse. The pollution degree is 3, meaning it's suitable for industrial environments with conductive pollution or dry non-conductive pollution that could become conductive.
