The Siemens 3RT1015-2AP04-3MA0 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact Size S00 frame, rated for 3 kW motor switching at 400 V in AC-2 duty (slip-ring motors, wound-rotor applications). The 24 V DC coil pulls in at 10 A making current, and the spring-loaded terminals accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded — no screwdriver needed for the main circuit.
AC-2 at 400 V: 3 kW is the motor switching capacity for slip-ring or wound-rotor motors — the contactor handles the higher inrush and longer arcing of those loads. For AC-4 reversing or inching duty (plugging), the same contactor is rated 6.5 A at 400 V. Type 1 (replace contactor after fault) allows a 35 A fuse. The mechanical life is 30 million cycles — this is a high-endurance frame for frequent switching applications.
