SIRIUS S00 power contactor — 3RT1015-2AP62
The Siemens 3RT1015-2AP62 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact Size S00 frame, rated for motor switching at 3 kW in AC-2 duty at 400 V and 6.5 A in AC-4 duty at 400 V. Spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.25... 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded — no ferrule crimping needed for the wireman, just strip and insert. The 45 mm width and 73 mm depth fit a standard 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, with screw or snap-on mounting. Side-by-side mounting is allowed, but the 6 mm spacing to adjacent devices must be respected for heat dissipation.
Motor duty and coordination
For AC-2 duty (slip-ring motor starting), this contactor delivers 3 kW at 400 V — that is the rating that governs the real motor load, not the AC-1 resistive figure. AC-4 duty (plugging, inching) is 6.5 A at 400 V, which is the current limit for frequent reversing or jogging. Type 2 coordination requires a gL/gG fuse of 20 A; Type 1 coordination allows a 35 A fuse. The pollution degree 3 rating means it is suited for industrial enclosures where conductive dust or condensation is present.
Panel integration
Mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 — screw or snap-on. The 45 mm width leaves room for a motor starter or overload relay alongside on the same rail. Spring-loaded terminals: strip 8 mm, insert, done. The IP20 finger-safe front and terminal covers are standard for enclosed panels; no extra shrouding needed inside a gland-plate cabinet.
