SIRIUS S00 power contactor, 24 VDC coil, spring-loaded terminals
The Siemens 3RT1015-2BB42-ZW97 is a SIRIUS power contactor in frame size S00, rated for a 24 VDC coil with a pick-up threshold of 0.85 and drop-out at 1.1 of rated voltage. It switches motor loads up to 4 kW at 690 V (AC-3 equivalent) and handles resistive loads to 10 A at 24 V. The main circuit uses spring-loaded terminals accepting 2x (0.25... 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire, or 2x (24... 14) AWG. Mechanical life is rated at 30,000,000 cycles typical.
DIN-rail integration and panel fit
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 50022. The 45 mm width and 73 mm depth fit standard S00 panel layouts. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with 6 mm clearance at the side. Pollution degree 3 rating means it tolerates conductive dust in industrial enclosures without conformal coating on the contactor body.
Coordination and short-circuit protection
For type 2 coordination (no weld-stick after fault), use a gL/gG fuse rated 20 A. For type 1 coordination (device may be damaged but circuit clears), the fuse can be 35 A gL/gG. The AC-4 rating at 400 V is 6.5 A — this is the plugging / inching duty cycle limit, not the continuous motor rating.
