The main circuit uses spring-loaded terminals for fast wiring — no screw torque needed, which saves time on repetitive builds.
For AC motor duty, the contactor is rated 3.5 kW at 500 V and 4 kW at 690 V — that puts it in the range for small pumps, fans, or conveyors up to about 5.5 HP at 480 V.
Terminals accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire, or 2x (24 to 14 AWG). Front face is IP20, so it's safe for open-panel use with no additional finger guards.
The 3RT1015-1BB42 is the closest peer — same S00 frame, same AC-3 and AC-4 ratings — but it uses screw terminals instead of spring-loaded. It will not drop in without rewiring the main circuit.
Width is 45 mm, depth is 73 mm, height is 60 mm. Side-by-side mounting requires 6 mm spacing to adjacent devices.
