What it is and what it does
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1015-2GG22 is a size S00 power contactor rated for 10 A at 24 V, with a 24 VDC coil that includes a full-wave rectified surge suppressor built in. The AC-2 motor switching rating at 400 V is 3 kW, and the AC-4 rating at 400 V is 6.5 A — so it handles both standard motor starts and reversing or plugging duty cycles. Main and auxiliary/control circuits both terminate through spring-loaded terminals, which speeds panel wiring and eliminates periodic re-torquing. Mounting is screw-and-snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. The 45 mm width and 60 mm height keep panel density reasonable. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, so no mandatory spacing gaps between contactors on the rail. IP20 on the front and at the terminals means it is touch-safe for installation inside an enclosure but not rated for washdown or outdoor exposure.
