What this part is and what it does
The Siemens 3RT1015-2HB41-ZX95 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact Size S00 frame, designed for switching motor loads in industrial control panels. It carries a 24 V DC coil with a holding power of 2.3 W, and its main circuit connects via spring-loaded terminals — no screwdriver needed for the power wires, which speeds up panel wiring and reduces loose-connection callbacks. The contactor is rated for AC-2 duty at 3 kW on a 400 V line, meaning it handles slip-ring motor starting and reversing. For AC-4 inching and plugging duty it manages 6.5 A at 400 V. The AC-12 resistive load maximum is 10 A.
Mounting and panel integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. The S00 footprint is 45 mm wide by 60 mm tall by 73 mm deep — a tight fit for dense panels. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, so you can gang multiple contactors without spacing. The IP20 front and terminal protection means it is finger-safe inside an enclosure but not rated for washdown. Spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire, or 2x (24 to 14 AWG). The auxiliary contact block is a separate add-on — the base unit carries one instantaneous contact.
Coordination and protection
For Type 2 coordination (no-weld after fault), use a gL/gG fuse rated 20 A. For Type 1 coordination (welding allowed but no fire risk), the fuse can go up to 35 A. The contactor is rated for use at altitudes up to 2 000 m and ambient temperatures from -25 °C to +60 °C during operation, with pollution degree 3.
