SIRIUS S00 power contactor, 24 VDC coil, Cage Clamp termination
The Siemens 3RT1015-2JB42-ZW96 is a SIRIUS S00-frame power contactor with a 24 V DC coil, three main poles, and Cage Clamp terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits. Rated 15 A at 24 V, it also carries 15 A at 110 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V for general switching. For motor loads under AC-4 duty at 400 V, the rating is 6.5 A — that's the figure to size for reversing or inching applications where the contactor makes and breaks stalled-rotor current.
Mounting and integration
Snap-on mounting onto 35 mm standard DIN rail per EN 50022, or screw-mount. The S00 frame occupies 45 mm width × 60 mm height × 73 mm depth — fits a standard 45 mm slot in a panel layout. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with no derating gap. Solid and stranded conductors: 2 × (0.25 … 2.5 mm²) for main contacts, 2 × (0.25 … 1.5 mm²) finely stranded with ferrule. Coil and surge suppression
DC coil draws 2.3 W closing and holding — no power drop after pickup, so the supply must sustain that continuously. Built-in diode surge suppressor across the coil; verify polarity before energizing. Pollution degree 3 environment rated, IP20 on the front and terminals — suitable for clean, dry control cabinets only, not washdown areas.
