The Siemens 3RT1015-2KB41 is a SIRIUS Size S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC coil, rated for 10 A at 24 V on the main contacts. It uses spring-loaded terminals for the main current circuit and mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022. The front face carries an IP20 rating, suitable for enclosed panel installation where accidental finger contact is prevented.
Motor duty and coordination
In AC-2 duty at 400 V, this contactor switches 3 kW motor loads — typical for slip-ring motors or moderate switching frequency. For AC-4 duty (plugging, inching, reversing) at 400 V, it's rated 6.5 A. Type 2 coordination requires a 20 A gL/gG fuse; type 1 coordination allows a 35 A gL/gG fuse. The built-in varistor surge suppressor handles coil suppression without an external diode.
Integration notes
The 45 mm wide, 60 mm tall, 73 mm deep footprint fits standard S00 panel layouts. Side-by-side mounting is allowed with a 6 mm gap to adjacent devices. The spring-loaded terminals accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire (2x 24 to 14 AWG). Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, with a maximum altitude of 2 000 m. Pollution degree 3 means it's rated for industrial environments with conductive pollution.
