SIRIUS S00 Power Contactor, 24 V Coil
It carries a 24 V 50/60 Hz coil, draws its control voltage from a standard 24 V supply, and terminates main circuit wiring through screw-type terminals. Rated operational current at 400 V is 3 A, and at 690 V it delivers 5.5 kW, making it suited for smaller three-phase motors, contactor banks, or auxiliary switching duties where the S00 footprint fits.
The AC-2 rating at 400 V is 4 kW, covering wound-rotor motor starting; the AC-4 rating at 400 V is 8.5 A, which governs plugging and inching duty cycles. For resistive loads, the AC-12 maximum operating current is 10 A.
Main circuit terminals accept solid conductors from 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) up to 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²), or stranded equivalents, with AWG sizes from 2x (20 to 16) up to 1x 12. Auxiliary contact configuration is 1 NO instantaneous contact, which can be used for feedback to a PLC or to seal in the coil circuit.
Short-Circuit Coordination
This guides the upstream protection selection when the contactor is part of a motor branch circuit.
For BOM freeze or AML adherence, the 3RT1016-1AB01-ZW95 is a standard catalog item from Siemens SIRIUS family — no deviation needed if it is on the customer's approved vendor list.
