Rated for 10 A at 24 V and motor power up to 4.5 kW at 500 V or 5.5 kW at 690 V, this contactor handles typical three-phase induction motors in pump, fan, and conveyor applications. The screw-type terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, up to 2x 4 mm², with AWG equivalents 2x (20 to 16) and 1x 12.
For motor loads, the 4.5 kW at 500 V and 5.5 kW at 690 V figures tell you the maximum three-phase induction motor this contactor can switch under AC-3 duty (starting and running). If your motor is smaller, you're fine — these are maximums, not minimums. If your application does frequent reversing or jogging, use the AC-4 figure, not the AC-3 motor kW rating.
Side-by-side mounting is permitted, which helps when packing multiple contactors into a tight panel. For type of coordination 2 (limited damage under short circuit), use a gL/gG fuse rated 20 A. For type 1 (no damage to the contactor, but may need replacement), use 35 A. This is critical for sizing upstream protection — don't guess. The coil is 24 V at 50/60 Hz, with a tolerance band of 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at 50 Hz and 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz. That means it picks up reliably even if your control supply sags to about 19 V at 50 Hz.
RoHS compliance is confirmed with a substance prohibition date of 01.07.2006, covering the original EU RoHS directive.
