Ratings that matter for selection
Beyond the AC-3 motor power, the AC-4 rating of 8.5 A at 400 V matters if you're doing plugging or inching duty — that's the current the contactor can break during frequent reversing or jogging cycles, where the load is still spinning. The auxiliary contact block (integrated) handles 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V AC-12, so it can drive PLC inputs or smaller contactor coils directly without an interposing relay. For fuse coordination, Type 2 coordination requires a gL/gG 20 A fuse upstream; Type 1 allows a 35 A fuse — that difference decides whether the contactor survives a short circuit or needs replacement.
The front and terminal areas carry IP20 finger-safe protection, so standard panel wiring practices apply.
