The Siemens 3RT1016-1AB02-ZW98 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact size S00 frame — 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm tall, 72 mm deep. The 24 VAC coil accepts both 50 Hz and 60 Hz supplies (0.8–1.1 × Us at 50 Hz, 0.85–1.1 × Us at 60 Hz), so one part covers both line frequencies without a coil swap.
For motor duty, this contactor is rated 4 kW at 400 V in AC-2 (slip-ring motor starting) and 8.5 A in AC-4 (plugging / inching duty) at 400 V. For DC loads, the contactor switches 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V — these are resistive DC-12 type ratings, so derate further for inductive DC loads like brake coils. The main circuit uses screw-type terminals accepting 2× (0.5–1.5 mm²), 2× (0.75–2.5 mm²), or max 2× (0.75–4 mm²) solid/stranded, plus 1× AWG 12.
For Type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement after a fault), the fuse can go up to 35 A. Side-by-side mounting is allowed without derating, with a 6 mm clearance to adjacent components on the sides.
