Rated for 4.5 kW at 500 V and 5.5 kW at 690 V, this contactor handles common three-phase motor duties. The 24 V coil draws 10 A at rated value, which is typical for PLC-driven control circuits. The S00 frame keeps the footprint compact at 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm high, and 72 mm deep — sized for dense panel layouts where every rail millimeter counts.
For AC-2 duty (slip-ring motors), it is rated 4 kW at 400 V. These duty-specific numbers, not the thermal current, govern real motor-switching life. Type 1 coordination requires a 35 A gL/gG fuse upstream; Type 2 coordination requires a 20 A gL/gG fuse. This determines the short-circuit protection scheme and whether the contactor remains usable after a fault.
Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or up to 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded conductors. AWG equivalents are 2x (20 to 16), 2x (18 to 14), or 1x 12. This covers typical motor leads and panel wiring without needing special ferrules. Front protection is IP20, so the contactor is touch-safe once installed in an enclosure.
Because it is an active, standard SIRIUS S00 contactor, sourcing runs through normal Siemens distribution channels. We can quote this against an RFQ for BOM-line fills or scheduled production orders.
