The coil is rated for 24 VAC at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with an operating voltage tolerance of 0.8...1.1 at 50 Hz and 0.85...1.1 at 60 Hz. This means the coil pulls in reliably even if the control transformer sags to about 19 V at 50 Hz or 20 V at 60 Hz. For motor switching, the contactor is rated at 4 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty (slip-ring motor starting) and 8.5 A at 400 V in AC-4 duty (plugging/inching). The AC-4 current is the limiting factor for frequent reversing or jogging applications—if your cycle count is high, that 8.5 A figure, not the motor FLA, governs contact life.
Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75...4 mm²) solid or stranded conductors. In AWG terms, that's 2x (20...16), 2x (18...14), or 1x 12. The IP20 rating on both the front and the terminals means the contactor is touch-safe once installed in an enclosure—no finger access to live parts. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, but a 6 mm clearance to the side is required for heat dissipation when the contactor is continuously loaded. At 24 VAC, the auxiliary contact ratings are 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V—these are the maximums for control-circuit switching, not the main contact current.
Environmental and coordination
The mechanical life is 30 million cycles typical, which is the figure for the contactor assembly itself—auxiliary contact life will be lower depending on load.
