The 10 A AC-12 rating is the maximum continuous current for resistive loads. For motor loads, the AC-2 rating of 4 kW at 400 V tells you it can start a motor of that size, while the AC-4 rating of 8.5 A at 400 V covers plugging and inching duty. Wire sizing is straightforward: the screw terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm² (AWG 20 to 12) for main contacts, and the same range for auxiliary contacts. For type 2 coordination, use a gL/gG fuse rated at 20 A; for type 1, a 35 A fuse is required.
