Mounting and integration
Snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, or screws directly to a panel backplate. At 45 mm wide and 57.5 mm tall, it fits a standard 4-module-wide slot in a distribution board. Side-by-side mounting is allowed, so you can gang multiple contactors without spacing — just watch the 6 mm clearance to grounded metal on the side. Screw terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid/stranded, with a max of 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). AWG equivalents: 2x (20 to 16) or 2x (18 to 14), single 12 AWG. Strip and torque to standard screw-terminal practice — no special tooling needed.
Duty ratings and coordination
AC-2 duty at 400 V delivers 4 kW for slip-ring motor starting; AC-4 at 400 V is rated 8.5 A for plugging/inching. The AC-12 maximum operating current is 10 A for resistive loads. For motor protection, use Type 1 coordination with a 35 A gL/gG fuse or Type 2 with a 20 A gL/gG fuse — the 20 A limit keeps let-through energy low enough to protect the contactor in a fault. Auxiliary contact ratings cover the common control voltages: 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V. That's one instantaneous contact (NO or NC depending on variant), so plan your control circuit accordingly — no built-in timing or latching.
Environmental and compliance
Rated for pollution degree 3 (industrial environments with conductive or dry non-conductive pollution). Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, and it's good up to 2,000 m altitude without derating. Front and terminal protection is IP20 — finger-safe but not washdown-rated, so keep it inside the panel.
