Rated for 4 kW at 400 V under AC-2 duty (slip-ring motor starting) and 5.5 kW at 690 V, this contactor handles the common European 400 V three-phase motor range up to about 5.5 kW.
The AC-12 rating of 10 A maximum operating current covers resistive and solid-state loads in control circuits — useful for feeding a PLC output or a small heater bank. The auxiliary contact block handles 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V, so you can match the contact rating to your control voltage without oversizing. Short-circuit coordination is specified: with type 2 coordination, use a gL/gG fuse rated 20 A; with type 1 coordination, a 35 A gL/gG fuse. This lets the panel builder select the right upstream protection to avoid contactor damage under fault.
Mounting and wiring in the panel
Width is 45 mm, height 57.5 mm, depth 72 mm — a compact footprint for the S00 frame. Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded wire. AWG equivalents are 2x (20 to 16), 2x (18 to 14), or 1x 12. The front and terminal faces carry IP20 finger protection, safe for open-panel work.
No rewiring or mounting changes needed if swapping from another S00 Siemens contactor with the same terminal arrangement.
