The AC-12 maximum operating current is 10 A, suitable for resistive loads and control transformers. Coil pick-up is guaranteed at 85 % of rated voltage (10.2 VDC), and drop-out occurs at 110 % (13.2 VDC). The DC coil consumes 3.3 W during both closing and holding, so no power reduction after pick-up — factor that into your control transformer sizing.
Mounting and integration into a panel
A 6 mm clearance to the side of the enclosure or other components is required only if you need access to the screw terminals. Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or up to 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded conductors. For AWG, that's 2x (20 to 16), 2x (18 to 14), or 1x 12. The auxiliary contact terminals accept the same range.
For short-circuit coordination, Type 1 requires a 35 A gL/gG fuse, and Type 2 requires a 20 A gL/gG fuse.
Auxiliary contact ratings and environmental limits
The built-in instantaneous auxiliary contact (1 N/O) is rated at 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V — all at the respective rated values. These are the maximum switching currents; derate for inductive loads like relay coils.
