The 24 VDC coil pulls in at 85% of rated voltage (20.4 V) and drops out at 110% (26.4 V), with a closing and holding power of 3.3 W — a constant DC draw that matters for power supply budgeting on a control transformer or DC bus. Rated for AC-12 duty at 10 A, this contactor handles resistive loads at up to 690 V. For motor switching, it delivers 4 kW in AC-2 at 400 V (part-winding start) and 8.5 A in AC-4 at 400 V (plugging/inching). The AC-3 motor rating hits 4.5 kW at 500 V and 5.5 kW at 690 V, covering common European 400 V and 690 V industrial supplies.
Fit, mounting, and wiring
The S00 frame is a 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm tall, 72 mm deep block — tight enough for high-density panels. Screw terminals on the main circuit accept solid or stranded copper: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). AWG equivalents are 2x (20 to 16), 2x (18 to 14), or 1x 12. Strip length and torque follow standard Siemens practice for S00 screw terminals — no special tooling needed. Type 1 allows up to 35 A.
