SIRIUS S00 power contactor — 24 VDC coil, 10 A rated
The Siemens 3RT1016-1BM45 is a SIRIUS S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC coil rated at 10 A at 24 V. It switches motor loads in AC-4 duty up to 8.5 A at 400 V, covering a 4 kW motor at 400 V in AC-2 service. The coil draws 3.3 W for both closing and holding — no power penalty for sustained engagement. Snap it onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 or screw-mount. The S00 frame keeps width to 45 mm, depth 114 mm, height 57.5 mm — fits standard panel layouts without surprises. Front face carries IP20 finger protection; terminals are IP20 as well. Pollution degree 3 rated — suitable for industrial environments where conductive dust or condensation is present.
Coordination and wiring
For Type 2 coordination (no-weld after fault) use a gL/gG fuse rated 20 A. Type 1 coordination allows a 35 A gL/gG fuse. Screw terminals accept 2x 0.5–1.5 mm², 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², or max 2x 0.75–4 mm² solid/stranded; AWG equivalents are 2x 20–16, 2x 18–14, or 1x 12. Three main poles (3 NO instant contacts). Side-by-side mounting is allowed with 6 mm clearance at the side — no derating needed for adjacent units in a row.
