The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1016-2AP02 is a size S00 power contactor rated for motor switching at 4 kW at 400 V AC-3. The 24 VDC coil pulls in reliably across the 0.8 to 1.1 x Us range at 50/60 Hz. Spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded — no screw torque to verify, which speeds panel wiring.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 4 kW at 400 V AC-3 rating is the motor-switching figure that governs most industrial loads — pumps, fans, small conveyors. For reversing or plugging duty (AC-4), the contactor is rated 8.5 A at 400 V, which is the figure to use when the load cycles direction under full load.
