The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1016-2BB41-ZW97 is a Size S00 power contactor with a 24 V DC coil that pulls 3.3 W to close and holds at the same draw. It uses spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit — no screwdriver needed for the power wires, which saves time on a panel build. The 45 mm wide frame snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 or can be screw-mounted. With the IP20 finger-safe enclosure, it's fine inside a cabinet but not out in the weather.
Ratings that matter for the route
The coil holds at 24 V DC nominal; the magnet's rated closing and holding power are both 3.3 W, so the coil won't overheat if it's energized continuously. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to +60 °C, which covers most heated control rooms and unheated warehouses. Pollution degree 3 means it's built for conductive dust and humidity — typical for industrial floors, not clean rooms.
Mounting and wiring
Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022 with the snap-on feature, or you can screw it to a backplate. The spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire, or 2x (24 to 14 AWG). Side-by-side mounting is allowed — no gap needed between contactors. The depth of 73 mm leaves room for wiring ducts in a standard 200 mm deep enclosure.
