SIRIUS S00 Power Contactor, 24 VDC Coil
The Siemens 3RT1016-2UB42 is a SIRIUS-branded power contactor in the S00 frame size, designed for switching motor loads and resistive loads in control panels. It mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, making it a direct fit for standard industrial enclosures. The coil is rated 24 VDC with a holding power of 3.3 W, and the main circuit uses spring-loaded terminals accepting 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. The integrated varistor surge suppressor eliminates the need for an external coil snubber in most applications. For motor duty, it is rated 4 kW at 400 V in AC-2 (slip-ring motor starting) and 8.5 A at 400 V in AC-4 (plugging/reversing). For resistive loads (AC-12), it handles up to 10 A. Coordination and Protection
Type 1 coordination requires a 35 A gL/gG fuse; Type 2 coordination (no damage to the contactor under short circuit) needs a 20 A gL/gG fuse.
