Rated for AC-2 duty at 400 V delivering 5.5 kW, and AC-4 at 400 V carrying 8.5 A — these are the motor-switching numbers that govern real-world selection. The 24 V AC coil (50/60 Hz) pulls in at 0.8...1.1 x rated voltage, so it holds reliably on a nominal 24 V supply but drops out cleanly below about 19 V, preventing contactor chatter on a sagging line. Auxiliary contact ratings cover control-circuit switching: 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V DC — enough for PLC inputs or relay coils in the same panel. The main circuit uses screw-type terminals accepting 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²) stranded, with a maximum of 2x (0.75...4 mm²) — no special crimping tool needed for standard panel wiring. Short-circuit coordination is specified: Type 2 coordination requires a gL/gG 20 A fuse; Type 1 allows up to 35 A.
Integration into a Panel
The front face carries IP20 — finger-safe for a closed panel — and the terminals are also IP20, meaning no additional touch protection required inside the enclosure.
