The Siemens 3RT1017-1AB02-ZX95 is a SIRIUS-branded power contactor in the S00 frame size, rated for switching motor loads up to 5.5 kW at AC-2 duty on a 400 V three-phase line. The 24 V coil accepts both 50 Hz and 60 Hz supplies, with a rated operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times nominal voltage at 50 Hz and 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz. Front protection is IP20, so the contactor is suitable for enclosed panel installation where accidental finger contact is the only exposure.
Switching ratings and coordination
Motor switching is covered by the AC-2 rating at 5.5 kW / 400 V, appropriate for slip-ring motors or wound-rotor applications where starting current is moderate. For plugging or inching duty, the AC-4 rating of 8.5 A at 400 V gives the real-world limit for frequent reversals. The AC-12 rating at 10 A covers resistive loads like heater banks or transformer primaries. Auxiliary contact capacity and control wiring
The built-in auxiliary contact handles 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and derates to 0.3 A at 220 V DC — enough for a PLC input or a pilot relay in most control schemes. Screw-type terminals accept solid or stranded wire: 2x 0.5 to 1.5 mm², 2x 0.75 to 2.5 mm², or a single 4 mm² conductor. AWG equivalents are 2x 20–16, 2x 18–14, and 1x 12. Pollution degree 3 rating suits industrial environments.
