The coil is 24 VAC, 50/60 Hz, so it drops into any panel with a 24 VAC control transformer — no DC conversion needed.
At 45 mm wide, it takes one standard 45 mm slot in a panel — no surprises for the wireman laying out a row of contactors. Side-by-side mounting is allowed, with a 6 mm clearance needed at the side for heat dissipation.
The AC-3 motor rating at 400 V is 5.5 kW, and at 690 V it's also 5.5 kW — this contactor is sized for the same motor power regardless of line voltage above 400 V. For resistive loads (AC-1), the maximum operating current is 10 A. The AC-4 rating (reversing, plugging, inching) at 400 V is 8.5 A — if your application does frequent reversing, that's the number to watch, not the AC-3 figure. The auxiliary contacts are rated at 24 V for 10 A, 230 V for 6 A, and 400 V for 3 A — enough for a PLC input or a pilot light.
Short-circuit protection and wiring
The screw terminals accept 2x 0.5–1.5 mm², 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², or max 2x 0.75–4 mm² — solid or stranded. AWG equivalents are 2x 20–16, 2x 18–14, or 1x 12. Strip length is standard for screw terminals; torque to the manufacturer's spec on the nameplate.
