SIRIUS S00 power contactor — 24 VDC coil, 10 A rated
The Siemens 3RT1017-1AP01-0AE6-ZX95 is a SIRIUS S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC coil rated at 10 A, designed for screw-type terminal connections and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022. The S00 frame size keeps the footprint compact at 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm high, and 72 mm deep — fits standard panel layouts without crowding adjacent devices. Switching capacity covers both AC and DC loads: at 230 V AC (50 Hz) it handles 6 A, at 400 V AC it handles 3 A, and at 690 V AC it delivers 5.5 kW. For DC switching, the contactor is rated 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V — useful for battery-backed or rectified supplies in control panels. The coil operates across 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at 50 Hz and 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz, with an ambient range of -25 to +60 °C during operation. Pollution degree 3 and IP20 on the front and terminals mean it's suited for industrial enclosures where dust and conductive contaminants are present, but not for washdown or outdoor exposure without a separate enclosure.
Mounting and wiring
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail (DIN EN 50022). Side-by-side mounting is permitted — no mandatory spacing between units, so you can pack multiple contactors in a row without losing panel density. The screw terminals accept solid or stranded conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). AWG equivalents: 2x (20 to 16), 2x (18 to 14), or 1x 12. For type 2 coordination (no damage to the contactor under short circuit), the required upstream fuse is gL/gG 20 A. For type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement after fault), use gL/gG 35 A. These values govern the short-circuit protection sizing in the distribution panel.
