SIRIUS S00 power contactor — panel-fit and ratings
The Siemens 3RT1017-1AP01-ZW96 is a SIRIUS S00 power contactor sized for motor loads up to 5.5 kW at both 500 V and 690 V, switching 8.5 A in AC-4 duty at 400 V for reversing or jogging applications. Snap it onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022 or screw-mount — the 45 mm width and 72 mm depth fit standard panel layouts with 6 mm side clearance. Rated for continuous operation from -25 °C to +60 °C, up to 2000 m altitude, with IP20 finger-safe protection on the front and terminals.
Wiring and coordination
Main circuit screw terminals accept 2x 0.5–1.5 mm², 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², or up to 2x 0.75–4 mm² solid/stranded — strip to match the cage depth for a gas-tight termination. Type 2 coordination requires a gL/gG 20 A fuse upstream; Type 1 coordination uses a 35 A gL/gG fuse. The 30 million mechanical-cycle rating gives the mechanical life for high-throughput lines.
