SIRIUS S00 power contactor for panel integration
Rated for AC-3 duty at 5.5 kW on both 500 V and 690 V supplies, it handles the inductive load of standard three-phase motors. For heavy-duty jogging or reversing applications, the AC-4 rating of 8.5 A at 400 V defines the switching capability under inching duty.
Termination and environmental fit
Main circuit connections use screw-type terminals accepting 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or up to 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded conductors — AWG equivalents 2x (20 to 16), 2x (18 to 14), and 1x 12. The IP20 front protection suits enclosed panel installation, while pollution degree 3 allows operation in industrial atmospheres with conductive contamination. Altitude rating to 2,000 m covers most standard installations without derating.
Coordination and auxiliary ratings
For Type 1 coordination, the contactor requires a 35 A gL/gG fuse; Type 2 coordination calls for 20 A gL/gG. The auxiliary contact block (instantaneous, zero delayed contacts) carries 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V — sufficient for PLC or relay interface circuits. Mechanical life is typical at 30 million operations, reflecting the S00 frame's suitability for high-cycle applications like conveyor or packaging machinery.
