SIRIUS S00 power contactor — 3RT1017-1AP61
The Siemens 3RT1017-1AP61 is a SIRIUS S00-frame power contactor rated for motor switching at 5.5 kW at 400 V AC-2 and 8.5 A at 400 V AC-4. It occupies 45 mm on a DIN rail (snap-on per DIN EN 50022) and carries screw-type terminals for the main circuit. The front face and terminals are IP20 rated, suitable for enclosed panel installation.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm standard rail per DIN EN 50022. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with a 6 mm clearance at the side. Dimensions: 45 mm width, 57.5 mm height, 72 mm depth — fits standard 200 mm deep enclosures without gland-plate interference. Wire range for main contacts: 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75...4 mm²) solid/stranded, or 2x (20...16), 2x (18...14), 1x 12 AWG.
Rated operational currents and motor power
Rated for 5.5 kW at 400 V AC-2 and 5.5 kW at 690 V. AC-4 switching current is 8.5 A at 400 V. The auxiliary contact block (1 N/O instantaneous) handles 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V. Operating current at AC-12 (control circuit) is 10 A maximum.
Short-circuit coordination and environmental limits
Type 1 coordination requires a 35 A gL/gG fuse; Type 2 requires 20 A gL/gG. Pollution degree 3 rated. Operating temperature range -25 to +60 °C. Maximum operating altitude 2,000 m. Coil operates at 0.85...1.1 x rated voltage at 50 Hz and 0.8...1.1 at 60 Hz. Mechanical endurance typical 30 million operations.
