What it is and where it fits
The Siemens 3RT1017-1BD42 is a SIRIUS power contactor in size S00, designed for switching motor and resistive loads in control panels. It snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022 and uses screw-type terminals for the main circuit.
Coil and switching ratings
The coil is rated 42 V DC with a pickup threshold of 0.85 x rated value and a drop-out of 1.1 x rated value. Closing and holding power are both 3.3 W DC. For DC load switching: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V. In AC motor duty, it handles 5.5 kW at 400 V (AC-2) and 8.5 A at 400 V (AC-4).
Mounting and environmental limits
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm rail. Side-by-side mounting is allowed with 6 mm spacing at the side. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, pollution degree 3, and maximum operating altitude 2 000 m. Front and terminal protection is IP20.
