Siemens 3RT1017-1WB41 — SIRIUS S00 Power Contactor, 24 VDC Coil
The Siemens 3RT1017-1WB41 is a SIRIUS power contactor in frame size S00, designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 50022. The 24 VDC coil draws 1.4 W holding power, with a pick-up threshold of 0.85 x rated voltage and a drop-out threshold of 1.85 x rated voltage. Rated operational current at AC-12 (resistive load) is 10 A at 24 V. For inductive motor loads, the contactor is rated for 5.5 kW at 400 V AC-3 duty and 8.5 A at 400 V AC-4 duty. The built-in varistor surge suppressor handles coil suppression internally.
Mounting and Panel Integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. Width is 45 mm, height 57.5 mm, depth 72 mm. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with 6 mm clearance at the side. IP20 finger-safe protection on the front and terminals. Screw-type terminals for the main current circuit accept 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), or max. 2x (0.75...4 mm²) solid/stranded conductors; AWG equivalents are 2x (20...16), 2x (18...14), 1x 12.
Short-Circuit Coordination and Ratings
For Type 2 coordination (no damage to the contactor), the required upstream fuse is gL/gG 20 A. For Type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement after fault), the required fuse is gL/gG 35 A. The contactor is rated for a maximum operating altitude of 2 000 m and an ambient operating temperature range of -25 °C to +60 °C. Pollution degree 3 (industrial environment).
