The Siemens 3RT1017-1WB42 is a SIRIUS size S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC coil, rated for 10 A in AC-12 duty. The integrated varistor surge suppressor is built into the coil circuit — no external snubber needed for standard inductive loads.

Switching capability and coordination

For motor loads, the contactor is rated at 5.5 kW at 400 V and 690 V AC-3, and 8.5 A at 400 V AC-4 for reversing or inching duty. With type 2 coordination, use a gL/gG 20 A fuse upstream; type 1 coordination allows a 35 A fuse. The DC coil holds at 1.4 W, closing at 1.4 W — no holding-current drop.
