Main circuit connections are spring-loaded terminals accepting 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (24 to 14 AWG). That means no screwdriver torque for terminations — a time-saver on repetitive panel builds and a reliability gain in high-vibration environments where screw terminals can loosen.
Rated at 5.5 kW in AC-2 duty at 400 V — AC-2 covers slip-ring motor starting and reversing, where the contactor makes and breaks at reduced current. That same frame also carries 8.5 A in AC-4 at 400 V, which is the heavy inching/plugging duty for squirrel-cage motors. The coil draws 24 V at 50/60 Hz, with a pickup tolerance of 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at 50 Hz and 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz — so a 24 V control supply that sags below about 19.2 V at 50 Hz may fail to pull the contactor in. That suits it for unheated enclosure environments in industrial halls, but not for direct outdoor exposure without a weatherproof cabinet.
Width is 45 mm, height 60 mm, depth 73 mm — the S00 footprint. Side-by-side mounting is permitted (no derating gap required), with a minimum 6 mm clearance to adjacent devices on the side. Front face carries IP20 finger-safe protection; the terminal area is also IP20, so the contactor can be mounted near the front of a panel without additional shrouding for operator safety.
