SIRIUS S00 power contactor — what it does and where it fits
Rated for AC-2 and AC-3 duty at 5.5 kW on 400 V three-phase, it handles induction motors up to that load — typical for pumps, fans, and conveyors in a standard 400 V distribution. Spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (24 to 14 AWG). That means no screw torque checks — strip, insert, release. The auxiliary contact block carries ratings from 10 A at 24 V down to 0.3 A at 220 V, so it can signal a PLC input or drive a pilot light directly.
Installation and environment
Side-by-side mounting is allowed with a 6 mm gap at the side for airflow — no derating penalty if you respect that clearance. The IP20 finger-safe terminals mean the panel builder can work live-side without a full glove-up, but the contactor itself is not sealed for washdown; it belongs inside a cabinet. Rated for pollution degree 3, so it handles conductive dust and humidity typical of factory floors and light industrial environments.
For Type 2 coordination (contactor remains operational after clearing a fault), use gL/gG 20 A. These are the manufacturer's specified fuse sizes — match them to your SCCR study.
