The Siemens 3RT1017-2AN62 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact Size S00 frame — 45 mm wide, 60 mm tall, 73 mm deep — designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022. Spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire, which saves panel-builder time versus screw-clamp variants. It's rated for AC-3 motor duty at 5.5 kW on 400 V, and carries an AC-4 switching current of 8.5 A at the same voltage for reversing or inching applications.
If you're doing plugging or jogging (AC-4 duty), the contactor is rated at 8.5 A at 400 V, which is roughly 4 kW on a typical 400 V motor.
