Motor duty and coordination
For plugging or inching (AC-4), the contactor is rated 8.5 A at 400 V, so it handles reversing or jogging applications at that current level. Resistive load capability (AC-12) goes to 10 A. Type 2 coordination requires a 20 A gL/gG fuse upstream; Type 1 coordination allows a 35 A gL/gG fuse. That means the panel builder sizes the short-circuit protection according to the coordination class specified on the line diagram.
Termination and environment
Main current circuit uses spring-loaded terminals accepting 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (24 to 14 AWG). No screw torque to verify — just strip to 8 mm and push in. The front face is IP20; side clearance for side-by-side mounting is 6 mm. Coil operating range is 0.8 to 1.1 x rated voltage at 50 Hz, 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz.
