This contactor is rated for motor loads up to 4.5 kW at 500 V and 5.5 kW at 690 V in AC-3 duty — the standard category for squirrel-cage motors during starting and running. That means it handles the inrush and break current of a motor up to that power without welding or excessive wear. The coil holds at 24 VDC nominal, with an operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at 50 Hz. That tolerance means it stays pulled in during a sag down to about 19.2 V, but drops out reliably below that — important for undervoltage protection schemes. For coordination with upstream protection, Type 1 coordination requires a gL/gG fuse rated at 63 A, while Type 2 (no damage to the contactor) calls for a 25 A fuse. That difference matters when you're sizing the branch circuit for selectivity.
Wire capacity on the main circuit accepts up to 2x 10 mm² (or 1x 8 AWG) stranded, and the control circuit takes 2x 4 mm² max. That's enough for motor feeds up to the 5.5 kW rating without piggybacking terminals.
