Its 24 VDC coil holds at nominal and drops out reliably below the pickup threshold, making it a straightforward fit for PLC-driven 24 V control circuits. Three normally-open main contacts handle the power path; there are no built-in NC contacts on the main poles, so any auxiliary contact block needed for feedback or interlocking must be added separately. Rated at 4 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty (slip-ring motor starting) and 5.5 kW at 690 V, this contactor covers a solid band of European-standard motor sizes. The AC-4 rating of 8.5 A at 400 V matters for reversing or inching applications where the contactor makes and breaks stalled-rotor current — that's the number to size against if your cycle includes plugging or jogging. Mounting is via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 — the S0 footprint is compact at 45 mm wide, so it packs tightly on the rail. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept up to 2x 10 mm² or 1x AWG 8, with solid and stranded ranges covered.
At 45 mm wide, 85 mm tall, and 91 mm deep, the S0 contactor leaves room for auxiliary contact blocks alongside on the DIN rail. Operating temperature range of -25 to +60 °C covers most indoor industrial environments; pollution degree 3 assumes conductive pollution, so the enclosure must maintain the IP rating. Wiring the main circuit: screw terminals accept 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²) solid, 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²) stranded, or up to 2x (0.75–4 mm²) fine-stranded. For the coil circuit, the same terminal range applies.
