SIRIUS Size S0 power contactor — 45 mm wide, screw terminals
The front carries IP20 protection; the terminals are IP00, so panel builders should account for clearance around the wiring zone. Rated for 10 A at AC-12 (resistive loads) and 8.5 A at AC-4 at 400 V (plugging/reversing duty), this contactor handles motor switching up to 4 kW at AC-2 at 400 V and 5.5 kW at 690 V. The AC-4 rating is the one to watch for frequent jogging or reversing applications — that 8.5 A figure governs the real thermal stress, not the higher AC-12 number.
Coordination and fuse sizing
These are the values to hand to the panel designer for the short-circuit protection scheme — don't guess from the motor FLA alone.
Main circuit terminals accept solid conductors from 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) up to max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²), and stranded conductors from 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²) up to max 2x 10 mm². AWG equivalents are 2x (16 to 12), 2x (14 to 10), and 1x 8.
