SIRIUS 3RT1023-3AB00 — Power Contactor, S0 Frame, 24 VAC Coil
Motor Ratings and Duty Cycles
Rated for motor switching at 4.5 kW at 500 V and 5.5 kW at 690 V, this contactor handles three-phase induction motors in the 4–5.5 kW band, provided the supply voltage matches those levels. For AC-4 duty (plugging, inching, reversing) at 400 V, the operating current is 8.5 A — the figure that governs frequent jogging or reversing applications, not the higher AC-3 rating. The AC-12 maximum operating current is 10 A, which covers resistive and solid-state loads in control circuits. For AC-2 (slip-ring motor starting) at 400 V, the rated power is 4 kW.
These values are critical for the site electrical engineer sizing the branch circuit protection — Type 2 keeps the contactor in service after a fault; Type 1 is cheaper but may require a spare on the shelf.
Environmental Limits and Installation
Screw-type terminals accept solid or stranded conductors: 2x (0.25–2.5 mm²) for control wiring, and for the main circuit 2x (1–2.5 mm²), 2x (2.5–6 mm²), or max 2x 10 mm². AWG equivalents are 2x (16–12), 2x (14–10), and 1x 8. The 45 mm width and 85 mm height fit the S0 envelope, with 90 mm depth including the coil terminals. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, with 6 mm spacing to adjacent devices.
