The contactor carries a 24 VDC coil with a closing and holding power of 5.4 W each, so the control transformer or DC supply must be sized for that inrush — not just the holding current. Rated for AC-2 duty at 4 kW at 400 V, this contactor handles slip-ring motor starting and reversing loads. For AC-4 (plugging/inching) at 400 V, the rated operational current is 8.5 A — the figure that governs frequent jogging applications.

Termination and coordination

Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2x (0.25...2.5 mm²) solid or 2x (1...2.5 mm²) stranded, with a maximum of 2x 10 mm².
