The AC-3 rating at 400 V is 7.5 kW, and at 690 V it also delivers 7.5 kW — meaning this contactor handles standard 400 V motors up to 7.5 kW and can also switch 690 V motors at the same power, useful in 690 V distribution systems or variable-speed drive output circuits.
Mounting and integration into a panel
The front of the contactor is IP20 (finger-safe), while the terminals are IP00 — so the wiring zone is exposed and requires the panel enclosure for touch protection.
Wiring and conductor sizing
Main circuit screw terminals accept 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²), 2x (2.5 to 6 mm²), or max 2x 10 mm² — fine-stranded or solid. For AWG, that's 2x (16 to 12), 2x (14 to 10), or 1x 8. Auxiliary contacts (if fitted) take 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). Strip length and torque values are on the nameplate label. For short-circuit protection, Type 2 coordination (no welding on fault) requires a gL/gG fuse of 25 A. Type 1 coordination (welding allowed but no fire risk) allows a 63 A fuse. This matters when specifying the upstream motor protection circuit breaker or fuse holder.
