The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1024-1AG20-ZW96 is a size S0 power contactor with screw-type terminals, rated for motor switching up to 7.5 kW at 500 V or 690 V. It carries an AC-4 switching current of 12.5 A at 400 V, which governs the contactor's life under reversing or inching duty — the real wear curve for plugging or jogging applications.
Terminal data and wiring
Main circuit terminals accept solid conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). Stranded terminations: 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²), 2x (2.5 to 6 mm²), or max 2x 10 mm². AWG equivalents: 2x (16 to 12), 2x (14 to 10), or 1x 8. The screw terminals are the same type used across the S0 frame, so existing ring-tongue or pin-ferrule kits carry over.
For type 1 coordination (device may be damaged but no hazard), the fuse can be gL/gG 63 A. These values set the maximum branch-circuit protection the contactor can work behind.
