SIRIUS S0 power contactor — panel fit and ratings
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1024-1AL20-ZW96 is a power contactor in the S0 frame size, rated for motor switching up to 7.5 kW at 690 V and 7.5 kW at 500 V. It carries 10 A at 24 V in the control circuit and handles AC-2 duty at 5.5 kW (400 V) or AC-4 at 12.5 A (400 V). Mounting is screw-and-snap-on to a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. The 45 mm width and 85 mm height fit standard S0 panel layouts; depth is 91 mm. Side-by-side mounting is allowed with 6 mm clearance between units. Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting solid conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm² (2x) and stranded from 1 to 10 mm² (2x). Pollution degree 3 rated, with IP20 protection on the front and IP00 at the terminals — suitable for enclosed panel installation.

Coordination and thermal limits
For type 2 coordination, the required upstream fuse is 25 A gL/gG; for type 1 coordination, 63 A gL/gG. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, with a maximum altitude of 2000 m. The contactor is rated for 50/60 Hz with a voltage tolerance of 0.8–1.1 at 50 Hz and 0.85–1.1 at 60 Hz. Mechanical endurance is rated at 10 million typical cycles. Coil draw at 24 V is 10 A, dropping to 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V — useful for control transformer sizing.
